Reservation and payment terms:

To confirm your reservation at the Belvédère de Vieux-Fort, a first payment corresponding to 30% of the total amount of the stay is requested at the time of booking.
Payment of this first instalment can be made by credit card, in a secure manner.
The 70% balance must be paid no later than 72 hours before the scheduled arrival date.
The reservation is considered definitively confirmed after receipt of the first 30% payout.
A reminder may be sent to the customer before the payment of the balance is due.
In the event of non-payment of the balance within the stipulated period, the owner reserves the right to apply the cancellation policy provided for the reservation.
The tourist tax, where applicable, is charged in addition and indicated separately to the customer.
We prefer to pay by credit card to ensure a simple, fast and secure booking.

Security deposit
In order to guarantee the good condition of the accommodation and its equipment during the stay, a security deposit of €500 is requested from the tenant.
The security deposit is paid by bank transfer no later than 48 hours before the scheduled date of arrival, according to the bank details provided by the host.
It is intended to cover, if necessary, any damage, deterioration, loss or additional costs attributable to the tenant.
In the absence of damage or a sum due, the security deposit will be returned in full within a maximum of 7 days after departure, after checking the condition of the accommodation.
In the event of damage or sums remaining due, all or part of the security deposit may be retained, up to the amount of the costs actually incurred or the sums due. The tenant will be informed of any deductions and supporting documents may be communicated to him on request.
The security deposit is not a deposit on the price of the stay and cannot be used to pay the balance of the rental.

Tenant's Insurance and Liability
The gîte is covered by insurance taken out by the host as part of its tourist activity.
The tenant nevertheless remains liable for any damage he may cause, by himself or by the people who accompany him, to the accommodation, its equipment, facilities or property made available during the stay.
It is the tenant's responsibility, if he wishes, to make the necessary arrangements with his insurer to verify that his civil liability and, if applicable, his holiday insurance cover his holiday rental stay.
No insurance certificate will be required at the time of booking, unless specifically requested by the host.

Presence of animals on the property
For organizational reasons and to preserve the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation, guests' pets are not allowed in the gîte.
However, we specify that two sociable dogs, of different sizes, as well as a cat live on the property. Dogs usually stay with owners and are not meant to access the guest-only space. The cat, on the other hand, is very discreet and is rarely present in spaces reserved for guests.
We invite people who may have a particular apprehension or discomfort with animals to take this into account before making their reservation.

Special conditions of stay
In order to ensure the safety of everyone, the tranquility of the place and the comfort of our guests, the following conditions apply to all stays.

Minimum age to book: the reservation of the gîte is exclusively reserved for people aged 18 and over. The holder of the reservation must be of legal age.

Child safety: the gîte is not suitable for the reception of children, in particular due to the presence of a swimming pool not secured by a specific protection device. For security reasons, the accommodation is therefore intended for an adult clientele.

People outside the stay: only people declared at the time of booking are allowed to stay in the gîte. It is forbidden to receive or host people outside the stay without the prior consent of the host.

Parties and events: the organization of parties, evenings, receptions or any other event in the gîte and its exteriors is strictly prohibited.

Respect for the neighborhood and tranquility of the place: the calm and tranquility of the neighborhood must be respected at all times. The use of sound devices, music or any other equipment likely to generate significant noise nuisance is prohibited, especially in the evening and during rest hours. As the gîte is in a residential environment, we ask everyone to exercise discretion and respect the place and the neighborhood. Any breach of these rules may result in the intervention of the host and, in the event of serious or repeated behaviour, the early end of the stay without refund of the nights to be covered.

Subletting and provision: the reservation of the gîte is strictly personal and nominative. Under no circumstances may the tenant sublet, assign his reservation or make all or part of the accommodation available to a third party, free of charge or for a fee, without the prior written consent of the host. Only the people mentioned at the time of booking are allowed to occupy the gîte. Any subletting, assignment or unauthorized provision may result in the immediate termination of the stay, without refund of the sums paid, without prejudice to any claim for compensation in the event of damage suffered by the host.

Cancellation terms

In order to offer you clear and transparent booking conditions, the cancellation methods are as follows:

Customer cancellation
- More than 30 days before the arrival date: free cancellation and full refund of the amounts paid.
- Between 30 and 15 days before the arrival date: 50% of the amount of the stay remains due.
- Less than 15 days before the arrival date: the total amount of the stay remains due.
In case of no-show of the customer on the scheduled day of arrival, no refund can be made.

Modification of the stay:
Any request to change the dates of stay is subject to the availability of the accommodation and must be made as soon as possible. A change in dates may result in a change in the rate when the new dates correspond to a different rate period.

Cancellation by owner:
In the exceptional case where the owner is forced to cancel a reservation, the sums paid by the customer for the stay concerned will be fully refunded.

Case of force majeure
Exceptional force majeure situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with applicable regulations and booking conditions. We recommend that you take out cancellation and/or travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen personal events that could prevent you from making your stay.
